Things you need to let us know
Who should I tell I’m moving house?
Let us know at least four weeks before your move-in date, but no more than 90 days in advance, and we'll get your broadband all set up at your new address.
We know things don't often run to plan, so if your moving date changes, no problem at all. Just call our moving team on 0330 123 9123 as soon as possible and we'll help get things sorted.
Here’s all you need to do
Moving home is stressful enough, so we'll take the hassle out of moving your Plusnet broadband with you. We'll even do it at no extra cost if you take out a new contract. See our price guide
Step 1. Call our team.
Call us at least four weeks in advance before you move on 0330 123 9123
Step 2. Update your details.
Tell us your account details, moving date and new address.
Step 3. Get packing.
We'll let you know if we need anything else.
Just give us four weeks' notice so we can move everything across.
It depends on your current package and the broadband technology available at your new address.
Packages with a landline
Traditional lines are being phased out as part of the digital switch-over. This means our packages which use a landline connection won’t be supported from January 2027.
We’ve got options to keep you connected and ready for the future.
Don't use your landline to make calls?
We'll help you upgrade to one of our broadband only packages. They don’t need a landline and use the latest technology. They’re fast, reliable and great value, so you'll get the best of everything.
Do you rely on a home phone service?
We can help move to a new EE broadband contract which includes a Digital Home Phone service.
If you have a healthcare device that uses your home phone service please contact your device supplier before upgrading to Digital Home Phone.
We’ll help you choose the best package to meet your needs in your new home

What happens when I’ve moved house?
First, have a cup of tea, you've earned it!
Wait for our email or text confirming your broadband is ready. Don’t plug in our router before then as it won’t work.
Once you get the go-ahead, follow our router set-up guide, and you’ll be online in no time. Then, connect your devices to the internet using the router's WiFi network name and password.
Your broadband speed might be different in your new property, but we’ll always give you the fastest speed available for your package in your location.
Yes please. Our routers are provided on a loan basis, so it’s really important they’re returned to us when no longer needed. Returning our router allows us to reuse and recycle it in a safe and environmentally friendly way.
Just a gentle reminder, if you signed up after 1 Feb 2024 and you don’t return our router, you’ll be charged a £50 fee.
